This project is intended to gather information about educators’ perspectives on 21st century knowledge frameworks. This study asks teachers, and others in the field of education, to share their thoughts on what students need to know to be successful in the future, and ask them to rank, in order of importance, sub-categories of 21st century frameworks. This study is hopes to produce a more comprehensive understanding of how practicing teachers understand 21st century frameworks.
We hope that this study will contribute to the growing discussion of 21st century skills/learning (Mishra & Kereluik, 2011), as well as offering the field of education a better understanding of the concept of 21st century skills, and what it means to people in education. This survey gauges attitudes/beliefs through a wide and varied population of educators.
